Parmi ces gaz, le dioxyde de carbone (CO<sub>2<\/sub>) a un tr\u00e8s fort pouvoir r\u00e9chauffant sur le climat et ses derni\u00e8res mesures sont loin d\u2019\u00eatre optimistes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depuis 1958, la concentration en CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0dans l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re est mesur\u00e9e par l&rsquo;observatoire de Mauna Loa\u00a0\u00e0 Hawa\u00ef. Chaque ann\u00e9e, les nouvelles mesures montrent que, malgr\u00e9 tous les engagements pris lors des\u00a0derni\u00e8res COP, le taux de CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0ne cesse de grimper. En utilisant une technique de\u00a0visualisation\u00a0cr\u00e9e \u00e0 la base pour les effets sp\u00e9ciaux du cin\u00e9ma, l&rsquo;organisme am\u00e9ricain a pu montrer en animation les\u00a0<span class=\"tooltip__TooltipBoxWrapper-sc-6usjli-0 iqWaqb\"><span class=\"wrappers__Span-sc-13rs60f-1 eEGdAN\" aria-expanded=\"false\">\u00e9missions<\/span><\/span>\u00a0de CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0sur le globe, avec les variations en fonction des zones industrielles, de la\u00a0pollution des villes, des feux de for\u00eats ou encore de la\u00a0respiration des plantes.<\/p>\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/zZ-lMDtiI-k?si=ixyIHr9hrue6KWis\">\n<div><iframe tabindex=\"-1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zZ-lMDtiI-k?rel=0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"fs-legende\">L&rsquo;\u00e9volution du CO2 au cours d&rsquo;une ann\u00e9e sur Terre.\u00a0\u00a9 Nasa<\/p>\n<p>La Terre a d\u00e9j\u00e0 connu des p\u00e9riodes dans son histoire pendant lesquelles le CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0\u00e9tait tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9, mais la\u00a0<span class=\"tooltip__TooltipBoxWrapper-sc-6usjli-0 iqWaqb\"><span class=\"wrappers__Span-sc-13rs60f-1 eEGdAN\" aria-expanded=\"false\">vitesse<\/span><\/span>\u00a0de son augmentation est exceptionnelle depuis 150 ans : la hausse du CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0actuelle et plus rapide encore que la derni\u00e8re grande hausse naturelle du CO<sub>2<\/sub>, lors de la\u00a0derni\u00e8re p\u00e9riode glaciaire\u00a0il y a 20 000 ans.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir atteint un record absolu en mai et juin 2024 avec 426,90\u00a0<span class=\"tooltip__TooltipBoxWrapper-sc-6usjli-0 iqWaqb\"><span class=\"wrappers__Span-sc-13rs60f-1 eEGdAN\" aria-expanded=\"false\">ppm<\/span><\/span>, le taux est l\u00e9g\u00e8rement redescendu \u00e0 422,38 ppm lors de la derni\u00e8re mesure mi-octobre.
